Meet Adnah Haid
Clinical Intern

Adnah is a dedicated mental health professional committed to providing culturally affirming, trauma-informed care tailored to the unique experiences of BIPOC individuals.
Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University, she brings a grounded, empathetic approach to the therapeutic space, rooted in the belief that healing is a collaborative and empowering journey.
Adnah possesses significant experience in crisis intervention and trauma support. Her background has instilled in her a profound respect for client autonomy and a specialized ability to hold space for individuals navigating complex emotional backgrounds. She integrates this clinical foundation with an anti-oppressive lens, ensuring that her clients feel seen, heard, and safe while addressing challenges such as trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Adnah’s therapeutic style is deeply client-centered and evidence-based. She focuses on building a strong foundation of trust, allowing clients to explore their narratives with intentionality. By utilizing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive modalities, she aims to help
individuals reclaim their agency and lead more meaningful, authentic lives. She is particularly
passionate about serving marginalized populations and navigating the intersections of identity
and mental wellness.
Outside of her clinical work, Adnah is a firm believer in the importance of community and exploration. She has facilitated vital conversations around sensitive topics in previous roles, further honing her ability to engage with diverse perspectives. To recharge, she enjoys immersing
herself in a good book or discovering new places and cuisines with her friends and family.
Adnah is eager to bring her warmth, professional rigor, and commitment to social justice to the
Wellness Tree Counseling community.
